Washington Court House is located forty miles south west of Columbus and is the county seat of Fayette County.  There is a County population of 25,000. Main employers are Yusa Corporation, Wal-Mart Distribution Center, and Sugar Creek Packing. Agriculture is a focal point of Fayette County as well.

Fayette County is also know for its outlet shopping malls and a variety of antique centers.  Primary retail areas are in Washington Court House and Jeffersonville.
